- MY CONFIDENCE
IS IN GOD
"I will cry out to God Most High, to
God who performs all things for me. My heart is confident in you, O God; my
heart is confident. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your
glory shine over all the earth." (Psalm 57:1,7,11).
Our great God is the One who meets all our needs in
every aspect of life: He is the God of the living and is actively involved in
all the details of every day life. (Mark 12:27).
He is the God of patience and consolation who patiently helps and heals us in
our emotional distress. "Now
the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward
another according to Christ Jesus" (Romans 15:5).
He is the God of hope who lifts our hearts above seeming hopeless situations: "Now the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the
power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:5).
He is the God of all comfort who comforts us in all the hurts that may come
our way: "Blessed be
God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; the Father of mercies, and the
God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able
to comfort them who are in any trouble." (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
He is the God of peace, who gives peace to those who continually trust Him
and do His will: "Those
things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me,
do: and the God of peace shall be with you." (Philippians 4:9).
He is the God of all grace who establishes us and makes us strong even in
the midst of trials: "But
the God of all grace, who has called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after you have suffered a while, will make you perfect, and establish,
strengthen and settle you." (1 Peter 5:10).
He is the God of love who reminds us all the time that we are special to
Him: "Finally,
brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in
peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you." (2 Corinthians
13:11).
Our God IS an
awesome God!
