Almost Moab
Jerry
woke me up with a cup of hot tea. I felt no better than yesterday. Not even
once inside all the layers of clothing and the two warm sleeping bags did I
ever get overheated during the night. At least the tea got me sort a going.
From the South Entrance we left Yellowstone
Park, which is also the
entrance into The Grand Tetons National Park. This park is known for its
spectacular mountains that have a lot of different climbing routes. All the
lakes and Snake River also makes it a
sanctuary for wildlife. Barely 10 minutes had passed by and we saw a whole
family of Meese, Mamma, Pappa, and a baby moose. The Grand Teton Range is impressive, and had I not been
a little under the weather I would most definitely had wanted to go hiking a
while. The Climber’s Ranch, which is a hostel for climbers, had closed for the
season so we didn’t get to buy a t-shirt from there.
The
south end of the park was followed by the well-known town of Jackson Hole. It is one big tourist trap.
Jerry and I went through there pretty quick. The rest of the day was spent
singing along to oldies, country, and praise music while driving down the road.
Jerry had turned the vehicle towards warmer grounds so I could get rid of this
cold – or maybe it was just an excellent excuse to go visit Moab, Utah.
We had
planned to stop at a campground half way to Moab but they were all closed. I
was fast asleep as jerry woke me up – we were spending yet another night at a
rest stop.
